A Bell Helicopter 407 to Provide

Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced that beginning April 1, 2008 its 407 model will be used by Northwest Texas Healthcare System (NWTHS) based in Amarillo, Texas to provide air medical transport service for the region. The service will be operated in a partnership with Med-Trans Corporation, a leading provider of air ambulance programs.
Bell's senior vice president for Marketing and Sales, Bob Fitzpatrick stated, "With its dependability and flight characteristics the Bell 407 is an outstanding platform for medical transport and we are pleased, through Med-Trans, to provide this helicopter to the residents within the NWTHS service area."
The current NWTHS air transport service, LIFESTAR, will celebrate its 15th anniversary this August and serves approximately 150-mile radius including Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma and Kansas and is the only Level III Trauma Center in Amarillo and the region's referral center for trauma services in the Panhandle.
