Civil Aviation Department of Mongolia has awarded a Type Acceptance Certificate for Mi-171 helicopter of Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant's (UUAP) production. This Certificate licenses UUAP to deliver the helicopters of Mi-171 type for needs of Mongolian Civil Aviation; the air companies of Mongolia in its turn are entitled to operate these helicopters.
Performance of confirmation receipt of Type Certificate for Mi-171 helicopter in Mongolia was actuated from Russian side in May 2007. Within the framework of this process a quadripartite agreement was concluded between Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee (ARMAK), designer of helicopter MHP, UUAP and Civil Aviation Department of Mongolia that governs all the certification process.
It is worthy of note that Mongolia became the fourth country of the world, which awarded such certificate, after China, South Korea and Slovakia. Besides, in Brazil there was received a Type Acceptance Certificate for Mi-171A helicopter that was designed on the basis of Mi-171 helicopter. Accordingly, Mi-171 helicopter is one of the few models of the Russian aircraft engineering that receives a recognition of aviation authorities of the several foreign countries all at once.
The receipt of such Certificate shows once more that the products of UUAP are competitive and actual at the world aviation market.
