The ashes of Mercury astronaut Gordon Cooper and actor James Doohan, who gained fame as chief engineer Montgomery "Scotty" Scott on the original "Star Trek" series,
have been loaded into a rocket that's set to launch from the site of New Mexico's planned spaceport
.
Cooper and Doohan are joining 200 others whose families paid to have a few grams of their ashes go for a ride on UP Aerospace's SpaceLoft SL-2 rocket
