Ashes of astronaut, actor ready for liftoff

The ashes of Mercury astronaut Gordon Cooper and actor James Doohan, who gained fame as chief engineer Montgomery "Scotty" Scott on the original "Star Trek" series, have been loaded into a rocket that's set to launch from the site of New Mexico's planned spaceport.

Cooper and Doohan are joining 200 others whose families paid to have a few grams of their ashes go for a ride on UP Aerospace's SpaceLoft SL-2 rocket
