Thursday, April 24, 2008 Nextant Aerospace Announces Exclusive Pro Line 21 Contract By FlyingNews @ 7:11 AM :: 201 Views :: 0 Comments :: Business Flying, Aircraft Avionics   Nextant Aerospace announced today an exclusive contract with Rockwell Collins to provide a Pro Line 21 Major Retrofit program for the Beechjet 400A. The initial 40 aircraft order is placed against a planned production requirement for 436 aircraft with a total value of $62 million. The Nextant Pro Line 21 retrofit program combines one of the most popular avionics suites available with one of the most popular light/medium business jets. “We have identified a large market demand to upgrade the existing Beechjet 400A aircraft with this state-of-the-art avionics suite. Response since the announcement of the program has been excellent and the program is on schedule for certification.”, said Kenn Ricci CEO of Nextant Aerospace. ”The Pro Line 21 retrofit solution for Beechjet 400A operators will deliver a proven flight deck solution that reduces pilot workload, delivers enhancements in safety, efficiency and situational awareness, and increases value of the aircraft,” said Denny Helgeson, vice president and general manager, Business and Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins. “We look forward to working with Nextant to provide these new capabilities to the marketplace.” Nextant expects STC approval in the third quarter of 2008 with installations and delivery immediately to follow. Baseline pricing for the Beechjet 400A Pro Line 21 Retrofit is $390,000. Additional configurations and options are available including three to four display variations; IFIS (Integrated Flight Information System) and XM Satellite NEXRAD Radar.
