Flying Accidents
Two small, private airplanes
flying just north of Los Angeles International Airport came within about 100 feet
of colliding last weekend, the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed Friday.
There were no reports of any injuries, but one startled pilot told air-traffic controllers the other plane came so close he could see the numbers painted on its fuselage. The Daily Breeze first reported the near-collision earlier this week, based on the controllers' account.
