Avion ApS Orders An AgustaWestland Grand

AgustaWestland is pleased to announce the contract signature today at the Paris Air Show by Avion ApS for one Grand light twin helicopter in corporate transport configuration. Avion ApS is a leading provider for both fixed and rotary-winged aircraft services in Denmark.
Renzo Lunardi, AgustaWestland, Senior Vice President Commercial Business Unit said “We are delighted that Avion ApS has chosen the Grand to provide charter services for its customers in Denmark. The Grand is the best selling helicopter in the twin engine corporate helicopter market worldwide and we are sure Avion’s customers will appreciates its spacious cabin and high performance.”
Since the aircraft was launched in July 2004 the Grand has seen exceptional success in the VIP/corporate transport market, quickly becoming the market leader achieving excellent results in a number of countries such as Italy, Uk, Brazil, Mexico. By June 2007 over 160 orders have been placed by customers worldwide with over 40 aircraft now in service. The Grand can be used for a wide range of applications including EMS, SAR as well as corporate and VIP transport.
