Embraer signed Grupo Omnilife de México for a Lineage 1000 jet. The new aircraft will be operated by their aerial taxi services subsidiary, Omniflys. With this order, Grupo Omnilife becomes the first customer of Embraer’s ultra-large executive jet in Mexico. The company is scheduled to take delivery of the aircraft in December 2009.
“The introduction of the Lineage 1000 to the Mexican market is a very important milestone, as the country has one of the largest business jet fleets in the world,” said Luís Carlos Affonso, Embraer Executive Vice President, Executive Jets. “Embraer’s presence is growing in Mexico. The Company’s long-term vision is to serve customers with products that span the market, offering luxurious jets, with premium comfort and outstanding performance. We are honored that Grupo Omnilife has selected the Lineage 1000 executive jet.”
The Lineage 1000 is the fourth and the largest member of Embraer’s growing executive jet portfolio and is expected to enter service in mid-2008. |
