Floatplane crashes in trees

Luck paid a visit to the forests southeast of Talkeetna on Tuesday afternoon, teaming up with a quick-thinking air traffic controller, a pilot skilled enough to control a crash landing, and a cell phone to bring about a remarkable rescue.
A small floatplane "corkscrewed" into the ground in a place where no one ever would have found it, those involved in the incident said Wednesday.
The crash destroyed the single-engine aircraft, but pilot and passenger walked off unhurt.
